The Kano State Government has declared its commitment to delivering victory for the All Progressives Congress (APC) at all levels in the 2027 general elections, while reaffirming support for President Bola Tinubu and Governor Abba Yusuf.
Governor Abba Yusuf made the declaration during an interactive session with elected and appointed government officials at the Coronation Hall, Government House, Kano.
A statement issued by the Governor’s spokesperson, Sunusi Bature Dawakin Tofa, said the governor expressed confidence that Kano would lead the country in delivering massive votes for President Tinubu’s re-election in 2027.
Governor Yusuf said the APC administration in the state remains resolute in its support for President Tinubu, describing his re-election bid as a collective responsibility of party members and government officials.
He directed all political appointees who are yet to register as APC members to do so without delay,
According to him, every elected and appointed official must identify with the party and actively contribute to strengthening its structures ahead of the elections.
The governor reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to ensuring APC victories in the presidential, governorship, National Assembly, State Assembly and local government elections.
As part of efforts to motivate political office holders, Governor Yusuf approved the allocation of plots of land to more than 300 political aides, including Senior Special Assistants, Special Assistants, Senior Special Reporters, Special Reporters and Personal Assistants.
He also approved the payment of N100,000 to each beneficiary.
Speaking at the meeting, Speaker of the Kano State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Ismail Falgore, said the APC would continue to promote the achievements of President Tinubu in Kano.
He noted that constituency projects executed by members of the State Assembly with the support of the governor had strengthened the party’s popularity across the state.
Also speaking, the Kano APC Chairman, Hon. Umar Haruna Doguwa, expressed confidence that the party would emerge victorious in the 2027 elections, saying preparations were already underway for an intensive grassroots mobilisation campaign.
The elected and appointed government officials passed a vote of confidence on President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf, while pledging to work collectively to secure APC victories at all levels in the 2027 general elections.
