Insecurity: Borno Governor calls for more budgetary allocation for Northeast

Borno State Government has called for more budgetary allocation for the Northeast Development Commission, NEDC to tackle the insecurity in the region.
Governor Zulum made the call in Maiduguri, the Borno State capital while receiving a delegation from the Nigerian Government led by the Minister, Federal Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development, Sadiya Umar Farouq.
The delegation was on a condolence visit to the State following the killings of more than 40 farmers in Zabarmari, a community in Jere Local Government Area of the State.
According to the Governor, the budgetary allocation of N45 billion to the region is not enough to cater for the needs of the region which has been ravaged by insurgency for over a decade.
He however appreciated the support the Nigerian Government has given to the State and the region.
The Minister of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development, Sadiya Umar Farouq pledgedd Government support for the region at all times.
