President Buhari presides over 32nd virtual cabinet meeting

President Muhammadu Buhari is presiding over the 32nd virtual Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting at the Council Chamber of the State House, Abuja.

Vice President, Yemi Osinbajo, Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Boss Mustapha and Chief of Staff to the President, Ibrahim Gambari are physically attending the meeting, which started at 09:00 GMT.

Seven Ministers are physically attending the meeting. They are those of Information and Culture, Lai Mohammed, Attorney General and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami, Transport, Rotimi Amaechi, Mines and Steel Development, Olamilekan Adegbite, Industry Trade and Investment, Niyi Adebayo, Education, Adamu Adamu, and Aviation, Hadi Sirika.

The Head of Service of the Federation, Dr Folasade Yemi-Esan and other Ministers are participating in the weekly council meeting from their various offices in Abuja.

Before commencement of the day’s proceedings, the council observed a minute silence for former Ministers, Alhaji Alfa Wali and Tony Momoh.

The late Alhaji Wali, who served as Minister of Agriculture from 1998 to 1999, died on 25th January 2021 at the age of 88.

Tony Momoh died on 1st February, at the age of 82. He was the Minister of Information from 1986-1990
