Ebonyi: Police Rescues Children from Kidnapers

The Nigeria Police in Ebonyi State Southeast Nigeria has rescued three children from the hands of kidnapers due to synergy between the Police force and the general public.

 

The Police Spokesperson in Ebonyi State Command, DSP Loveth Odah made this known while addressing Journalists in Abakaliki the state capital narrated how the success stories of Nigeria Police in Ebonyi was achieved.

 

“Police in Ebonyi is good in quick response, I got a usual call, getting to Nkaliki, it was seen that a suspected kidnaper was there with two children.

 

“The kidnapped children are Tochukwu  Eze  who is five years and Wisdom Eze who is four years, they are both brothers,” she said.

 

She said that the second victim was rescued in Enugu when Police was contacted through phone.

 

“The little Miss Sopruch was kidnapped alongside with her brother from Igbeagu Izzi two weeks ago but when the woman who kidnapped them was threatened by Supruchi that she will inform Police in Enugu, the kidnaper quickly abandoned her on the road and move on with the second person yet to be rescued,” she stated.

 

She called on parents and Guardians to be more careful about their children’s whereabout to avoid being victims of kidnapers and hoodlums.

 

The spokesperson informed Journalists that the suspected kidnappers have been arrested and interrogation is ongoing.

 

She said more arrests were ongoing to rescue the remaining person.

 

The parents of children, Ogbonnaya Eze, Uche Eze who are of Agubia Ikwo and Igbo who is of Igbeagu Izzi thanked Nigeria Police for coming to their aid and prayed for the quick rescue of the remaining child who is still in the hands of the kidnappers.
