The state Commissioner for Health Dr. Tsanyawa, while conveying the directive in a statement said that “adequate arrangements have  been made for the students to continue with their academic activities.”

Dr. Tsanyawa advised all parents and Guardians to promptly convey their children from the respective institutions on Sunday, February 28, 2021.

Earlier on Saturday, the state government also shut down 4 tertiary institutions and 12 secondary Schools, all on insecurity concerns.

The state Commissioner of Education, Dr. Sanusi Kiru attributed the decisions to close down the schools to their locations, which are mostly in remote border towns or located on highways making them easily accessible by criminals.

Over 300 students abducted from an all female boarding secondary School in Jangebe Zamfara State  on Friday, February 26, 2021.
