Nigerian senator donates Hospital to Anambra State community

A Nigerian Senator Representing Anambra Central District in the Nation’s Upper Legislative Chamber, Senator Uche Ekwunife, has donated a health facility to Neni Community in Anambra State to commence full scale medical services.

She described the Multi Dimensional 20 Bed Hospital and Maternity situate at St John’s Catholic Parish, Neni, as part of her projects for the people of the District.

The Lawmaker who seeking for re election under the platform of Peoples Democratic Party(PDP),said she was motivated to build the health facility to further ensure healthy living of her constituents

She expressed optimism that patients living around the community and beyond would find life using the facility,urging the church to ensure effective management and maintenance of medical facilities provided in the hospital.

While enjoining them to take full ownership of the hospital,she pledge to sponsor and attract more amenities that would have direct bearing on their lives.

Commissioning the hospital, the Catholic Bishop of Awka Diocese,Most Rev Paulinus Ezeokafor, commended the Lawmaker for donating the facility, which he described as practical form of dividend of democracy and mark of good representation.

While describing health as wealth, he explained that the hospital would ease the burden of patients living in the area in accessing health care. In an address presented by At John’s Parish Pastoral Council, Neni, they prayed God to continue to bless the Sen Ekwunife to enable her to touch more lives.

“We now have many quality beds and mattresses,every room is fitted with an Air Condition Unit,there are many seats,chairs, computers and cupboards.

“Above all you provided a brand new 30 KVA Generator to serve the hospital in case of electric power failure.We are really grateful and pray God to bless you and continue to lift you higher since you have a truly large heart for the poor and needy of society”
