Lawmaker Applauds Government Efforts Over Security In Nigeria

A Member of the House of Representatives, Hon. Shamsudeen Dambazau, has applauded the Nigerian Government on efforts put into tackling the security situation within the country, saying it could be better.

This statement was made while interacting with the House of Representative Press Corps, in Abuja, Nigeria’s capital.

He said that the security situation in Nigeria has greatly improved over the years.

The Member of the House of Representative noted that the federal government has put mechanisms in place to dislodge terrorists across the country.

“The government gave a deadline and people should be held accountable for the responsibility given to them to achieve results. We are achieving results and more more is expected to be achieved”. Hon Dambazau said.

Kidnapping menace

He said that the issue of kidnappings needs to be really looked into as it has become a menace in Nigeria.

On the forthcoming elections, the lawmaker advised security agencies to provide the needed atmosphere for a successful election.

Hon. Dambazau also said that the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate, Mr. Bola Tinubu was in the best position to win the 2023 presidential election.

He dismissed the insinuations that Mr. Tinubu was sick.

He said,” he is very well and there was nothing wrong with him. He has been a successful CEO and also succeeded in everything he has laid his hands on”.

He said that Tinubu was going from state to state mobilizing the youths ahead of the election.

Hon. Dambazau also advised the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), to make the collection of the Permanent Voters Card, (PVC), more seamless.

He also stated that the Electoral Act 2021 which was passed by the House of Representative has changed everything and Nigerians have no fear about the topic of under aged voting.

He added that steps are being taking to end gas flaring in Nigeria.
