A former Speaker of Nigeria’s House of Representatives, Mr. Oladimeji Bankole is set to defect to the All Progressive Congress, APC.
The Director General, Press and Media Affairs of the APC National Chairman, Caretaker Committee, Mr. Mamman Mohammed revealed this in a press statement released in Abuja.
He said the former Speaker met with the APC National Chairman, Caretaker Committee and Governor of Yobe state, Mai Mala Buni and the governor of Jigawa state, Abubakar Badaru where discussion touched on Mr. Bankole moving to the APC with his supporters.
“The three leaders discussed on a wide range of political issues including the movement of the former Speaker and his supporters into the party.
It is evident that APC’s opportunities in Ogun state is growing and widening.
“It would be recalled that former Governor of Ogun state, Otumba Gbenga Daniel who was also former Director General of PDP’s Atiku Abubakar Presidential campaign organization has recently joined the party” He said.
