PDP’s Siyako wins Gombe South Senatorial Seat

The candidate of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP in the Gombe South Senatorial District, Mr. Anthony Siyako, has won the seat, with 97,956 votes, defeating Senator Joshua Lidani of the All Progressives Congress, APC.

 

The result was declared in Kaltungo, the Returning Officer for Gombe South Senatorial District, Professor Saleh Abdu, said Mr. Siyako defeated his closest rival, Joshua Lidani of the APC, a former Deputy Governor of the state, who scored 36,879 votes.

 

“Anthony Siyako of the PDP, having satisfied the requirements of the law, is hereby declared the winner and is returned elected.”

 

The third winner in the race is Mrs. Abigail Albashi of the New Nigeria Peoples Party, NNPP, who scored 1, 551 votes.
