Vote Counting Begins in Polling Units Across Borno State

Sorting and counting of votes cast has begun across polling units in Borno State, North-East Nigeria, in the 2023 Gubernatorial and House of Assembly elections.

Although there was low voters turnout at most of the Polling units in the state but the exercise was peaceful.

At the Government House polling unit No 002 in Maiduguri, voting ended by 3 pm, and counting started at around 3:30 pm local time.

At Kidang 003 Bakin Kasuwa, Marama, Hawul LGA, counting is ongoing.
