INEC Presents Certificates of Return To Governor-Elect, Others In Ebonyi

The Independent National Electoral Commission INEC has presented Certificates Of Return To the Governor-Elect Mr Francis Nwifuru and his Deputy, Mrs Obila Patricia in Ebonyi State.
The Presentation was done by the INEC National Commissioner in charge of Ebonyi, Enugu and Anambra States, Mr Ukeagu Kenneth at the INEC State Collation Office, INEC Headquarters after a brief remark by the Resident Electoral Commissioner REC, Mrs Onyeka Ugochi in charge of Ebonyi State Southeast Nigeria.
He said the presentation of the certificates was in line with the constitution of Nigeria.
The 17 House of Assembly Members-elect also received theirs.
On her part, the Resident Electoral Commissioner REC Mrs Onyeka Ugochi congratulated the winners.
She promised to always conduct free fair and credible election in the State.
“This Seventeen is out of the normal 24 Members of the House”.
She said “2 out of the remaining 7 have minor things to be corrected. The remaining 5 State constituencies were declared inconclusive, supplementary election will be held very soon”.
The Governor-elect, Mr Francis Nwifuru on behalf of others thanked Ebonyi people for electing them to be their leaders.
He promised that “our Government will promote workers welfare, improve Agriculture, Health, Education, Social life among others.”
It would be recalled that Members of National Assembly, Senate and House of Representatives have received their own certificates of return last two weeks.
