Kwara State gets substantive Chief Judge

The Kwara State House of Assembly has confirmed  Justice Abiodun Adebara as the substantive Chief Judge of the state.

 

Hon. Justice Adebara’s confirmation was considered at the plenary Committee of the whole house chaired by the Speaker, Yakubu Salihu.

 

Responding to questions from lawmakers, Justice Adebara promised to always ensure speedy dispensation of justice in the state.

 

He pledged a healthy and harmonious working relationship with the other two arms of government in order to move the state forward.

 

He solicited more budgetary provisions for the state judiciary to address the problems of inadequate courtrooms and other challenges in the third arm of government.

 

The lawmakers also confirmed the appointments of Abubakar Abdullahi Uthman, Oyedun Funke Juliana, Yusuf Abdulganiyu Aremu, and Abdul Gana Lukpada as chairman and members of the Fiscal Responsibility Commission in the state.

 

The Speaker, therefore, directed the Clerk of the House, Hajia Halimah Kperogi to communicate the confirmation of the appointments to the governor.
