Tyson Fury Breaks Silence On Heavyweight Tournament

Tyson Fury has responded to speculation that he may be facing Oleksandr Usyk on the same card as Anthony Joshua fighting Deontay Wilder later in the year.

Fury and Usyk tried and failed to make an undisputed fight recently, with the Brit’s WBC belt on the line against the Ukrainian’s WBO, IBF and WBA.

Unfortunately for fans, and the sport in general, things fell apart.

The Gypsy King was left without a dance partner just around the time his domestic rival, Anthony Joshua  whom he’s also failed to make a fight with in the past returned to the ring following two losses to Usyk.

After his victory, ‘AJ’ announced that any plans for a July fight were kiboshed and he would return to the ring in December.

This kicked off speculation that Saudi Arabia were planning something special for the wintertime as their involvement in the sport increases.

Simon Jordan said that there were rumours of a four man tournament. Fury, Usyk, Joshua and Wilder  and Wilder’s trainer, Malik Scott, seemed to confirm that something like that was on the table.
