Mining Cadastre Office Reviews Digital Portal For Improved Services

The Nigerian Mining Cadastral Office is reviewing its digital portal to improve its service operations.

This comes after the the recent launching of the electronic Mining Cadestral System, eMC+ that made the Nigerian Mining Cadastral Office operations became fully digitalized.

The new eMC+ innovation has given rise to a new set of operational impact, which include operating with greater transparency and efficiency, boosting operator’s access to Cadastral Information amongst others.

Consequently, the Management of Mining Cadestral Office deemed it fit, to organise a Review for Development Retreat to analyse the impact of the digitisation on the operations of the office and proffer solutions to cope with the impact.

The MCO Review for Development is a general staff interactive retreat organised for the staff of Mining Cadestral Office in Abuja the nation’s capital, to brainstorm and proffer solutions to the challenges affecting the discharge of the office mandate to administration and manage Mineral Titles in an efficient and transparent manner.

The Director General, Mining Cadestral Office Mr, Obadia Simon Nkom said the aim of the retreat was to identify and proffer solutions and address the challenges affecting effective administration and Mineral Titles

“We also want to engage and reshape the work mindset of staff to focus on efficient delivery of quality service in the most professional manner,” he said.

The representative of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC while delivering lecture tittle “Ensuring Free Corrupt Organisation for Excellent Service Delivery by Mr, Ahmed Sa’ad Abubakar Director Internal Affairs cautioned the staff of the Agency to shun any act of criminal activities that can tarnish the image of the Agency.

Mr Sa’ad urged the staff to promote the mandate of the Agency and be patriotic for the development of Nigeria.

On the other part, the representative of the Independent Corrupt Practices and other related Offences Commission ICPC, Mr Adebayo Obaniyi Deputy Director System Study enjoined the Staff to always be guided by their work ethics to avoid being victims of financial embarrament, Abuse of processes and procedures.

The retreat is expected to review work flows of departments and units of Mining Cadestral Office Staff through presentations by invited resource persons and the heads of departments and units.

Brainstorming sessions with focus on creating a workforce guided by sustainable outcomes of operations of the office.
