In a bid to ensure that Ebonyi state people are free from all kinds of ailments, the Management and staff of Pentecost Foundation Hospital has embarked free Medical Surgeries and sundry Healthcare delivery in Ebonyi State Southeast Nigeria. This was Motivated by the rising number of Ebonyi state people, more especially the rural dwellers who have died of surgical ailments and other minor diseases for lack of fund to seek for medical attention from experts.
The Hospital Administrator, Mrs Ejogha Goerge disclosed this to journalists during the free medical outreach at Methodist church, Cathedral of Christ ,Ndulo Ngbo in Ohaukwu Local Government Area of the State. Mrs Ejogha said the hospital was able to conduct those surgeries and other sundry Healthcare services successfully because the hospital is a standard and has it can take to perform the surgery.
“We have a world standard hospital and well equipped. We have qualified Consultants in various Departments like in Pediatrics, Surgical, Gynaecology and so on. Our Laboratory is well Equipped. We have x-ray Machine, Scanning Machine and all the necessary things a standard hospital should have”. Ejogha said. She added that with the help of the above mentioned, they have been able to conduct over 11 surgeries without hitches. “We call on the wealthy Ebonyi state indigenes to invest more on health in order to save more lives”. She appealed.
One of the Medical Doctors who works in the hospital, Dr Hyacinth Mbam said they embarked on saving lives because it is worth doing.
“Since Government cannot help everyone, we on our own have decided to help people of the State to access medical care. We did it so that our people can enjoy what others are enjoying in other developed countries of the world. Yes, some Nigeria Medical Doctors are living to abroad to practice because of poor remuneration here in Nigeria but we deemed it necessary to help our people to get good healthcare“. Mbam said. He encouraged people to always go to hospital any time they feel unhealthy.
The Matron of the hospital, Mrs Nneka Obisirike said the free healthcare delivery has saved many people from dying in a disease that could be prevented. Two of the beneficiaries of Pentecost Foundation Hospital’s free medical surgeries and other healthcare, Mr Agbo Moses and Omeje Happiness from Ndulo Ngbo thanked the Management and staff of the hospital for coming to their aid and prayed for God’s providence in the hospital.
