The Muslim Media Watch Group of Nigeria has condemned in strong terms the attack reportedly launched against the convoy of the U.S. Embassy in Nigeria at Ogbaru Local Government of Anambra State early this week.

In a statement signed by its National Coordinator, Alhaji Ibrahim Abdullahi, the Group described the attack as ‘criminal, unpatriotic and senseless.’

Alhaji Abdullahi stated that for Senior Embassy Officials who were on humanitarian visits to certain parts of the State to be confronted with such a devilish attack leading to the death of some security operatives attached to the Envoys, is, to say the least, satanic and irresponsible.”

The Group called on all Security Agencies in Anambra State to investigate the sudden attack deeply and those that are found to be responsible should be urgently apprehended and made to face the wrath of the law.

The Group maintained that such devilish attacks on citizens and foreigners are unfortunate as they would continue to create a bad image for the Country.

It said, “patriotic citizens of Ogbaru Local Government of Anambra State must ensure that the culprits were exposed for immediate arrest to prevent similar occurrences in the future which might be targeted at them; warning that acts of terrorism and other criminal activities must be wiped out of Nigeria.”

On the plan to disrupt the May 29th change of Government and Handing-Over to New Administration as revealed by the Police and other Security Agencies, the Media Group urged the Nation’s Intelligence and Security Forces to go after suspected trouble-makers and miscreants planning such.

Meanwhile, the Muslim Media Watch Group of Nigeria has congratulated the Ansarul Islam Society of Nigeria on the recent approval by the Nigerian Government for the take-off Muhammad Kamaludeen University, Ilorin – Kwara State.

In a Goodwill Message sent to the Society, the Media Group stated that the establishment of the University was long-overdue.

It said the approval recently secured, would propel the Proprietors of the University to rise up to the challenge of putting finishing touches to all that are necessary for the early commencement of academic activities in the new citadel of learning.
