COVID-19: Nigeria confirms 40 new cases

Nigeria has confirmed 40 new cases of the novel coronavirus also known as COVID-19.

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control NCDC confirmed the cases via its official Twitter handle on Sunday  night.

The 40 new cases are reported from Lagos-29, Abia-3, Ogun-3, Kano-2, Kaduna-1, Plateau-1, Rivers-1

The latest figures bring the total number of confirmed cases to 166,019 total discharged 156,479 and 2,067 confirmed deaths.
