Yuletide: Niger State Governor commends military operations across the State

Niger State Government in North-Central Nigeria has commended the immense sacrifices being made by the security agencies and vigilantes in the fight against banditry, kidnapping and Cattle rustling in parts of the state.
Governor Abubakar Sani Bello gave the commendation in his Christmas message to Christian Faithful in the State through his Spokesperson, Mrs Mary Noel Berje.
Governor Bello stated that his administration has renewed commitment to partner with the military and other security agencies in ensuring that the issue of incessant insecurity in parts of the state in curtailed.
“We have committed time and enormous resources in the joint military action against these criminal elements, we’ll not relent in our resolve because security of lives and property of our people is sacrosanct and non-negotiable.” The Governor said.
While wishing Christians a joyous Christmas celebration, Governor Sani Bello, equally warned against flouting the NCDC protocols and containment measures on the resurgence of the deadly COVID-19 pandemic.
“We have been alerted on the deadly nature of the second wave of the pandemic, we must tread cautiously and apply every precautionary and containment measures in place to avoid another round of lockdown and its accompanying consequences.” he said.
Governor Bello also admonished Christian Faithful to always emulate the exemplary teachings and lifestyle of Jesus Christ who, in his life time preached and practiced love, peace, forgiveness, compassion and unity among all humans.
“It is obvious that this year’s Christmas has come with some economic challenges precipitated by the resurgence of COVID-19, nonetheless, I urge you all to show compassion, love and generosity to the less privileged, the displaced and extend hands of unity among people of other faith ethnic group and along socio-cultural divides.” Governor Bello added.
Governor Bello assured people across the state that despite the recession occasioned by the COVID-19 pandemic, his administration remains focused in delivering service to the people.
