Libya vaccinates over 250,000 people against COVID-19

Libya has vaccinated over 250,000 people against COVID-19 so far.

Ahmad al-Garari, COVID-19 vaccination cooperator at the Libyan National Centre for Disease Control(NCDC), said on Saturday, “Almost 256,000 people have been vaccinated so far. There is a good demand for the vaccines.

“Nearly all medical staff treating COVID-19 patients have been vaccinated. Also, the elderly are now being vaccinated,” he said.

According to the National Centre for Disease Control, the total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in Libya so far is 186,953, including 172,916 recoveries and 3,137 fatalities.
