Governor of Anambra State, Professor Chukwuma Soludo, has extended warm greetings to the Muslim community in Anambra and across Nigeria on the occasion of the 2025 Eid-el-Kabir celebration.
In a goodwill message conveyed through his Press Secretary, Mr. Christian Aburime, on Friday, Governor Soludo highlighted the deep spiritual and moral significance of the festival, which commemorates Prophet Ibrahim’s unwavering faith and obedience to the will of Allah.
“Eid-el-Adha is a powerful reminder of the virtues of sacrifice, devotion, and submission to divine will—values that transcend religious lines and speak to our shared humanity,” the governor said.
He urged Nigerians to embrace the lessons of the season, particularly selflessness, compassion for the less privileged, and a collective commitment to the common good—principles that mirror his administration’s vision of a prosperous, inclusive, and harmonious Anambra State.
Governor Soludo also praised the contributions of the Muslim community to the state’s socio-economic development, describing Anambra’s religious harmony as a testament to mutual respect and peaceful co-existence among its diverse population.
“As we celebrate this festival of sacrifice and unity, let us reflect on its deeper meaning and recommit ourselves to building a just and caring society,” he said.
Concluding his message, the governor wished all Muslim faithful in Anambra and across the country a joyful, peaceful, and spiritually fulfilling Eid-el-Kabir celebration.
Meanwhile, the governor’s wife, Mrs. Nonye Soludo, also sent her greetings via her verified social media handle, writing.
