The All Progressives Congress (APC) has described the death of the Labour Party National Chairman, Mr Abdulkadir Abdusalam as a loss to Nigeria’s opposition politics and democracy.
The Secretary to the APC National Caretaker/Extraordinary Convention Planning Committee, Senator John Akpanudoedehe stated this in a condolence message to the labour party.
The APC said Mr Abdulsalam will be remembered for his advocacy for the welfare of workers.
“We mourn the late Abdulsalam whose passage is a major loss to Nigeria’s opposition politics and our democracy at large.
“In line with the Labour Party’s mantra, as National Chairman, the late Abdulsalam will be remembered for his efforts to entrench Labour Party as the Party for Social Democracy and advocate for the welfare of workers, particularly the increment of minimum wage.
“The APC commiserates with the immediate family of Alhaji Abdulkadir Abdulsalam and prays Almighty Allah forgives his shortcomings and grant him Al Jannah Firdaus.” The APC said.
