The National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) welcomed a high-level delegation from the Nigerian National Assembly to Mina, highlighting the government’s commitment to the welfare of its pilgrims during the ongoing 2025 Hajj operations.
Led by Jafaru Aliyu, Chairman of the House Committee on Pilgrims’ Affairs, the parliamentary delegation was received by NAHCON’s Chairman, Professor Abdullahi Saleh Usman.
The lawmakers commended NAHCON’s efforts, citing the smooth conduct of the pilgrimage as a testament to effective legislative oversight.
The National Assembly delegation included prominent lawmakers such as Nalaraba Chiroma, Engr. Sagiru Koki, Abdurrahim Danga, Hasan Shehu Hassan, Mukhtar Umar Zakari, and Alhassan Ado Doguwa, among others.
The visit was also attended by senior officials from Nigeria’s foreign missions, including Ambassador Ahmad Sule, Ambassador Ahmed Monguno, and H.E. Ibrahim Modibbo, Deputy Ambassador, Embassy of Nigeria to Saudi Arabia.
The delegation concluded its visit by inspecting accommodation tents housing pilgrims from various states, calling for continuous improvements in pilgrims’ welfare.
The visit underscored the government’s commitment to ensuring a successful and fulfilling spiritual experience for Nigerian pilgrims.
