Anambra Community Endorses APC Deputy Governorship Candidate Senator Ekwunife

Nri Community in Anaocha Local Government Area has declared its support for Senator Uche Ekwunife, Deputy Governorship Candidate of the All Progressives Congress ahead of the Anambra Gubernatorial Election,

This development came to the fore when the Community leaders and stakeholders staged a ceremony at its Civic Centre in honour of the Candidate

Chairman on the occasion and former President General of the community, Chief Kelvin Obiegbunam, while acknowledging that the event was non political, described her as a pragmatic politician that could perfectly fit into that position

He further said they would not forget the invaluable developmental projects extended to them by Sen Ekwunife when she held various political positions.

Chief Chuks Emelife, who moved for her adoption on behalf of the community, noted that they decided to endorse her as their preferred candidate following her achievements and track record

He added that they came to register their unfilinching support towards the victory of the APC Deputy Governorship Candidate.

The Community Leader explained that the state needed a team player like her to consolidate on achievements recorded so far, stating that her commitment to the community and service to humanity remained unequalled

In his remarks, the APC Governorship Candidate, Prince Nicholas Ukachukwu, said he was ready to partner and work with the community towards ensuring the success of the party come November 8th poll.

He assured the community that his administration would consider them in its affairs, if given the mandate during the election.

Responding, Senator Uche Ekwunife, appreciated the community for endorsing her political journey, which she noted, would be beneficial to them.

The Deputy Governorship Candidate who was touched by the display of unity and optimism, affirmed that the community would not be left behind in the scheme of things

Describing political party as a vehicle to one’s destination, she argued that in politics people should prioritise competence, good governance and public good above party sentiments.

During the event, the representatives of different segments of the community were allowed to speak after which an affirmative voice vote followed
