The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Governorship Candidate for the upcoming Anambra State election scheduled for November 8, 2025, Jude Ezenwafor has called on the people of the state to rally behind his candidacy.

Ezenwafor made the call when the League of Anambra Journalists, FCT, paid him a visit after he was allegedly shot by gunmen in Abuja, Nigeria’s capital, recently.

He said that “his years of political experience uniquely position him to deliver good governance and tangible benefits to the citizens if elected.”

Ezenwafor emphasised that the people of Anambra deserve a leader who understands the political terrain and is committed to inclusive development.

He promised that under his leadership, the state would experience visible progress across key sectors such as education, infrastructure, youth empowerment, and security, which are the cornerstones of democratic dividends.

He said his vision to lead the state was essentially to provide a clear pathway for greater prosperity for the citizens.

He stressed that “power is divine and he is not desperate to be the governor of the state”.

The governorship candidate who has been in public service in various positions noted that some years ago when the incumbent governor contested, others from other senatorial zones and districts also were in the contest.

The experienced politician cum property developer said “on his vision to govern Anambra, his desire is for Anambra state to open up and become destination for heightened development”.

He stressed that part of his vision is to make many people millionaires within a short time, this is not a mere political campaign as many used to do.

He said that “there is a need to salvage the state and make desired impact within a short while when elected”.

Some Journalists noted that the state was in dire need of a leader who will be among the leading lights in Nigeria and Africa in health, technology, education and massive infrastructural development.
