Youth Empowerment: Development Center Coordinator Seeks NDE Partnership

The Coordinator of Ebyia Development Center in Izzi Local Government Area of Ebonyi State Southeast Nigeria, Mr Stephen Iboko has partnered with the National Directorate Of Employment (NDE) in the State to Engage Ebonyi Youths in meaningful skills that could enhance their self reliance.

Iboko said his mission was to complement the effort of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Francis Nwifuru of the state by stepping up the Renewed Hope Agenda, which is in action in Ebonyi State through the People’s Charter Of Needs in Ebyia Development Center.

“I want at the end of this my administration as Coordinator of Ebyia Development Center to ensure that majority of the Youths in that my area are gainfully employed through skill acquisition and other forms of employments within my reach”

With NDE, giving my people employment through skill acquisition will be very easy for me because they have been in the system and the know the technical know-how to handle the Youths. My target is to make sure that unemployment is drastically reduced in my development Center.

“I thank the Governor of the State who appointed me to serve in this capacity as he has given us the enabling environment to thrive,” Iboko stated.

The NDE State Coordinator in the State, Mrs Chukwuekezie Stella expressed joy over the visit as she said it takes a man with vision to seek ways on how to employ his people.

Become the employers

Chukwuekezie reiterated her commitment to partner with the Development Coordinator to give Ebonyi people employment through skill acquisition which will automatically make them to become the employers of labour tomorrow.

The Youths President of Mgboagbaja village, Mr Ofoke Harrison who was present during the visit promised to mobilise the Youths and educate them on how to become great.
