The immediate past Governor of Kogi State, Yahaya Bello, and the incumbent Governor, Ahmed Usman Ododo, have paid a courtesy visit to former Governor, Idris Ichalla Wada, at his Lokoja residence.

In a statement, the State Commissioner for Information and Communications, Kingsley Femi Fanwo, said the leaders held extensive discussions on strengthening unity and advancing the economic development of Kogi.

Fanwo quoted Wada described the visit as an honour and a mark of respect for leadership.

“I assure you of my unalloyed support for the administration of Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo. Unity among leaders is crucial to the peace and progress of our State,” Wada said.

He added that both Governor Ododo and former Governor Bello reaffirmed their commitment to inclusive governance, stressing that the collective interest of Kogi people would always take precedence over political differences.

Fanwo noted that the meeting underscores a growing consensus among leaders to work together in advancing development and building a more united Kogi.
