Kaduna State Police Command has advised residents to avoid marked areas as a shooting range exercise for recruit constables will take place on Tuesday, 19th, and Wednesday, 20th August 2025.
The Public Relations Officer of the Command, DSP Mansir Hassan, stated that the exercise is expected at Amanan Kasuwa Shooting Range along Maraban Jos–Panbegua Road in Igabi Local Government Area.
“Residents and commuters within and around the area are advised to exercise caution and avoid the marked vicinity during the exercise,” he said.
DSP Hassan assured the public that strict safety measures have been put in place, adding that there is no cause for alarm despite expected gunshot sounds.
“We seek the maximum cooperation of the people and appreciate their understanding,” he added, noting that the exercise is crucial to enhancing officers’ operational readiness and preparing them for future challenges.
