APC Hails By-Election Victory as Renewed Confidence

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has described its victory in the recently concluded August 16 legislative by-elections as a clear reaffirmation of the confidence Nigerians continue to place in the party.

Speaking at a press briefing, the APC National Organising Secretary, Sulaiman Muhammad Argungu, said the outcome of the polls reflects the strength, resilience, and growing national acceptance of the party.

These victories are not just statistics; they demonstrate the belief Nigerians have in our ability to deliver purposeful leadership and good governance.”

He noted that the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) conducted elections in 16 constituencies across 12 states on Saturday, August 16, 2025, and the APC emerged victorious in 13 of the 16 seats, a performance the party hailed as “remarkable”.

The party extended its appreciation to President Bola Tinubu for his visionary leadership, the Progressive Governors Forum for their coordination and sacrifice and the National Working Committee members and party supporters nationwide for their unwavering dedication.

The APC also reaffirmed its support for President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, pledging to remain steadfast in delivering democratic dividends and advancing the welfare, security, and prosperity of all Nigerians.

The task ahead is enormous, but with unityloyalty, and discipline, we will continue to deliver victories for the APC and meaningful progress for Nigeria,” he said.

The APC also announced plans to convene an interactive session in Abuja for all newly elected legislators.

The States where the party won its by-elections are Adamawa – Ganye State Constituency, Edo – Ovia Federal Constituency & Edo Central Senatorial District, Jigawa, Babura-Garki Federal Constituency, Kaduna – Zaria Kewaye, Basawa, Chikun/Kajuru, Kano – Ghari/Tsanyawa State Constituency, Kogi – Okura State Constituency, Niger – Munya State Constituency, Ogun – Remo Federal Constituency, Taraba – Karim Lamido State Constituency and Zamfara – Kaura Namoda South State Constituency.
