Akwa Ibom State Governor, Pastor Umo Eno, has reaffirmed his commitment to infrastructure development under the Arise Agenda.

He announced that his administration will expand the state’s road network to 1,000 kilometres during the current dry season.

Speaking at the Victor Attah International Airport, Uyo, Governor Eno said contractors would be mobilised to the site to achieve the new target, adding that the supplementary budget recently approved by the State House of Assembly was crucial in accelerating ongoing capital projects.

On the political developments, Governor Eno urged citizens to fully embrace the ruling party, stressing the importance of voter participation.

“Akwa Ibom is an APC state, together, we are Akwa Ibom United, committed to peace, unity, and progress,” he declared, while encouraging residents to take advantage of the ongoing INEC voter registration exercise. “Your vote is your strength,” he added.

The Governor also expressed strong support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, commending his efforts to stabilise the economy and attract investors.

“We must unite behind the President of Nigeria, Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu. The economy is stabilising, investors are returning, and we must support him to return in 2027,” Governor Eno said.

In the same vein, Governor Eno reaffirmed his support for Senate President Godswill Akpabio, calling on the people to back his return to the Senate in 2027.

“…We will continue to deliver the dividends of democracy, expand our road projects, and support President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Senate President Godswill Akpabio for the good of our State. God bless Akwa Ibom State,” he affirmed.
