President Bola Tinubu has sworn in two new Ministers to his cabinet at the Council Chamber of the State House, Abuja.

The newly appointed Ministers are Dr. Bernard Mohammed Doro and Mr. Kingsley Tochukwu Udeh (SAN).

This follows their confirmation by the Senate, during which the two nominees were confirmed after being screened individually.

The new cabinet members took the oath of office in a single batch after their citations were read by the State House Assistant Director of Information, Oche Egwa.

President Tinubu nominated Dr. Bernard Doro from Plateau State to fill the vacant position in the Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Reduction. His nomination was subsequently confirmed by the Senate in late October 2025.

Also nominated to fill the Enugu State vacancy is Kingsley Tochukwu Udeh (SAN), whose appointment came a few weeks after the resignation of Uche Nnaji, the former Minister of Science, Innovation, and Technology, who stepped down following allegations of certificate forgery.

The Senate, on Thursday, confirmed the appointment of Dr. Tochukwu Udeh (SAN) as a Minister, just moments before his swearing-in by President Tinubu.

His confirmation followed a brief screening session conducted by the Senate during its plenary earlier on Thursday.

Until his appointment as a Minister, Udeh served as the Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice in Enugu State.

The two newly sworn-in Ministers immediately joined the ongoing meeting of the Federal Executive Council, marking their first official participation in the decision-making body of the Tinubu administration.

The Council also observed a minute silence in honour of ex- Minister of State for the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) under President Olusegun Obasanjo’s administration, Solomon Ewuga who died on died Sept 23, 2025.

Ewuga also served as Deputy Governor of Nasarawa State (1999–2002) under Governor Abdullahi Adamu. He was Senator representing Nasarawa North Senatorial District (2011–2015).

The Nasarawa State born Ewuga was also an Ambassador to Angola, appointed during the Goodluck Jonathan administration.

The Council also mourned Major General Abdullahi Mohammed Adangba, who served as former Chief of Staff to Presidents Olusegun Obasanjo and Umaru Yar’Adua.

Major General Adangba passed at the age of 86.

Present at the ongoing council meeting were the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Senator George Akume, the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation; Didi Walson-Jack, the Chief of Staff to the President, Femi Gbajabiamila; and the National Security Adviser, Mallam Nuhu Ribadu.
