President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has declared that Nigeria will decisively defeat terrorism, assuring citizens that his administration is intensifying global diplomatic engagements and accelerating efforts to restore enduring peace and security across the country.

The President made the declaration at the Council Chamber of the State House, Abuja, shortly before presiding over the Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting and moments after swearing in two new Ministers to join his cabinet.

In further response to Nigeria’s designation as a “country of particular concern” by the U.S. President Donald Trump and his accompanying threats of possible military action under the guise of protecting religious freedom, President Tinubu affirmed that “his administration is constructively engaging the international community through diplomacy while remaining steadfast in its commitment to defeating terrorism and ensuring national stability.”

He said; “The most important thing is the fact that despite the political headwind and the fear of our people will continue to engage with our partners.

So the task ahead is immense. We are engaging the world diplomatically, and we assure all of you that we will defeat terrorism in the country.”

The task ahead is immense but we are resolved to move forward with unity and purpose, guided by renewed hope, an agenda to build a prosperous, inclusive and resilient Nigeria. Thank you very much,” President Tinubu added.
