The Minister of Defence, Mohammed Badaru Abubakar, is representing Nigeria in Bamako, Mali, at the maiden edition of the Bamako International Defence and Security Exhibition (BAMEX 2025).
He arrived the Military Wing of the Bamako International Airport to a warm reception by the Malian Minister of Defence and Veterans Affairs, General Sadio Camara, alongside senior officials of the Malian Armed Forces and was honoured with a colourful parade.
According to a statement by the Personal Assistant, Media and Publicity to the Minister, Mati Ali, “both Ministers later held a brief with a strategic meeting focused on strengthening bilateral defence cooperation between Nigeria and Mali, and deepening collaboration on regional peace and security initiatives.’
BAMEX 2025 serves as a key platform for African nations and international partners to exchange ideas, showcase innovations in defence technology, and build partnerships aimed at addressing emerging security challenges across the continent.
