Adamawa State Governor, Ahmadu Fintiri, has urged Christians and residents of the state to use the Christmas season as a moment of reflection on shared humanity and the common values that unite all people, irrespective of religion or tribe.

In his Christmas message to the people of Adamawa, Governor Fintiri said the celebration of the birth of Jesus Christ signifies hope and salvation for a world in need of redemption.

“Society would be a better place if the values exemplified by Christ’s birth, especially love for one another, are genuinely embraced and practiced,” he noted.

The governor extended warm felicitations to Christians and the entire populace, calling on them to give thanks to God for His grace, provision and protection over individuals, families, communities, the nation, and humanity at large.

“Christ’s teachings and God’s unconditional love remain a source of strength in times of adversity and a call for people to be better individuals,” he said.

He encouraged residents to use the festive season to show generosity, support those in need, promote peace, and foster a fair, just, prosperous, and cohesive society.

The governor called on citizens to leave behind all forms of discord and embrace unity as they work collectively towards a better future.

“I wish the people of Adamawa a joyful and safe Christmas celebration, with abundant blessings and continued peace in our state,” Governor Fintiri concluded.
