First Lady Urges Nigerians To Embrace Renewable Energy

Nigeria’s First Lady, Oluremi Tinubu, has called on citizens to embrace renewable energy for a cleaner society.

She made the appeal in her message to mark the 2026 International Day of Clean Energy.

The First Lady also urged all Nigerians to contribute their quota towards preserving the environment.

“Today, as we commemorate the International Day of Clean Energy 2026, under the theme ‘Clean Energy for People and Planet,’ we are reminded of our shared responsibility to protect and preserve the environment in which we live.

“I urge us all to embrace renewable energy and sustainable technologies as an essential foundation for survival, healthy living, and environmental stewardship.

“Let us work together to build a greener, healthier planet for all. Happy International Day of Clean Energy 2026,” she said.

The International Day of Clean Energy is celebrated every 26 January to raise awareness about the use of clean energy as a solution to environmental pollution.
