Eid Al-Adha: AMAC Chairman tasks Muslim on significant of Sacrifice

The Chairman, Abuja Municipal Area Council, AMAC, in the Nigerian Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Abdullahi  Candido has asked Muslim to imbibe the ideals of sacrifice, honesty, charity and generosity as exemplified by the Prophet Muhammad (SAW) peace be upon Him.

Candido said; ”the significance of the period is to encourage piety and total commitment to Allah (SW).”

This was made known in a statement signed by the Chief Press Secretary to the Chairman, Jibreel Babangoshi in Abuja.

”As we celebrate the Eid Al-Adha, I implore all to pray for the end of the Covid-19 pandemic and the Cholera outbreak in some part of AMAC and FCT in General. I am also calling on all to continue to show concern through observing the Covid-19 protocols during and after the celebration Eid Al-Adha period as part of safety measures to curtail the spread of the dreaded disease,” he stated.

Candido urged them to maintain Hygienic Environment as well as Good drinking water , to prevent them from contracting the dreaded Coronavirus pandemic and Cholera.

The Chairman also assured the residents that his administration was highly committed towards moving the Council forward.

He however urged Muslims to use the Eid Al-Adha celebration to intensify prayers for Nigeria, to enable it  overcome the problems bedevilling it.
