
Barau FC staged a late comeback to defeat Plateau United 2-1 in their Matchday 28 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) encounter, at the Sani Abacha Stadium in Kano State, Nigeria.
Plateau United opened scoring in the 4th minute through Vincent Temitope. However, Barau FC levelled in the 38th minute courtesy of a tap in by Henry Ezeonye.

Substitute Stanley Oganbor then scored the decisive goal in the second half to hand the hosts maximum points.
The victory moved Barau FC to 10th position on the NPFL table with 37 points from 28 matches. Plateau United are in 12th place with 36 points.
Barau FC Technical Adviser, Eugene Agagbe, described the encounter as tough but commended his players for their resilience.

“It was a difficult game, but the players showed character and determination to come back. I commend them for their efforts,” he said.
Agagbe expressed confidence ahead of the club’s next fixture against Kano Pillars, urging fans to turn out in large numbers for the anticipated Kano derby.
