Former Nigerian President, Goodluck Jonathan, has called on citizens to embrace peace, unity, and prosperity beyond the festive period of Eid-el-Kabir.

The message was conveyed through his Media and Communications Adviser, Ikechukwu Eze.
Dr. Jonathan urged Nigerians to reflect on the values associated with the celebration, emphasising the need for collective efforts toward national development.

He noted that the festival serves as a reminder of faith, sacrifice, and devotion to God principles capable of strengthening hope and fostering unity across the country.

He further encouraged citizens to draw inspiration from the spirit of obedience and generosity demonstrated during the period, stressing that such virtues are essential for deepening national cohesion, promoting compassion, and building stronger bonds of brotherhood.

The former President also congratulated the Muslim Ummah on the occasion, wishing them a peaceful and fulfilling celebration.
