JAMB Exam: Anambra Police Deploy 60 Safe School Operatives

The Anambra State Police Command has deployed 60 “Safe School” operatives to designated examination centres across the state ahead of the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) examinations scheduled to hold from Thursday, April 16, to Saturday, April 25, 2026.

Police spokesperson SP Tochukwu Ikenga said that the move is aimed at ensuring safety, security, and orderliness throughout the examination period.

Ikenga said that “the operatives will be stationed across centres under the coordination of the Assistant Commissioner of Police in charge of Operations, Harrison Oruruo.”

The deployment is being managed from operational bases in the state’s eight police area commands.

Ikenga stated that “the measure is part of the Command’s proactive security strategy under its “Safe School” initiative, which aims to create a secure environment for candidates, invigilators, and examination officials.”

The police also urged candidates and other stakeholders to comply with the law and cooperate with officers deployed for the exercise.

Authorities reaffirmed their commitment to safeguarding lives and property during the nationwide examinations.
