Man United ends Trippier interest, insists Martial not for sale
Manchester United is set to end interest in Kieran Trippier and will instead allow Diogo Dalot to challenge Aaron Wan-Bissaka for the first-choice right-back slot this season.
The Atletico Madrid defender has been linked with a move to Old Trafford all summer but it now appears as though any move could be off.
Sky Sports News reported in June that the Spanish champions wanted almost £43m (€50m) if they were to sell Trippier this window.
Manchester United have no intention of selling forward Anthony Martial during this summer’s transfer window.
The 25-year-old had been linked with a move to Inter Milan but is believed to be part of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s plans for the new season.
Martial made 48 appearances for United last season, scoring 23 goals as they finished second in the Premier League and reached the Europa League final.
