PSIN Boss Bags Association Honour for Capacity Development Drive

The Administrator and Chief Executive Officer of the Public Service Institute of Nigeria (PSIN), Imeh Okon, has received the ‘Pillar of Struggle’ Award from the Association of Senior Civil Servants of Nigeria (ASCSN), PSIN Unit.

The award was presented during the 2026 Workers’ Day celebration in recognition of her leadership, commitment to staff welfare, and institutional reforms at the Institute.

Union leaders commended Okon’s administration for improving workplace conditions, strengthening staff engagement, and introducing reforms aimed at enhancing productivity.

The recognition also reflects ‘the growing importance of effective public sector leadership in driving governance reforms and improving service delivery across institutions in Nigeria and other parts of Africa.’

Addressing staff during the event, Okon praised workers for their dedication and professionalism, describing them as critical to institutional growth and national development.

She reaffirmed her administration’s commitment to staff welfare, professional development, and sustainable institutional growth.

Okon also urged workers to remain committed to excellence, innovation, and public service values.

Responding to the award, she described the recognition as ‘motivating and pledged to sustain ongoing reforms and repositioning efforts at the Institute.’

The Public Service Institute of Nigeria plays a central role in training and developing Nigeria’s public servants, with a mandate focused on improving governance capacity, policy implementation and institutional effectiveness
