British Deputy High Commissioner Mrs Gill Lever on Monday began an official visit to Kwara State as part of routine diplomatic activities in the country.
Her itinerary in the state includes a meeting with government officials, with Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq and the First Lady, Amb. Olufolake Abdulrazaq, who is expected to host her to a dinner later on Tuesday.

The diplomat is also expected to visit key government and civic institutions in the state, including the Sexual Assault Referral Centre (SARC) at the Sobi Specialist Hospital; the Ilorin Innovation Hub, a key infrastructure of the Abdulrazaq administration; the Olufolake Safe Haven at the Stella Obasanjo Centre, Ilorin; among others.
Mrs Lever will also meet with the directorate of the state security services and hold interactive sessions with members of the civil society community and political parties in the state.
The top diplomat will similarly pay a courtesy visit to the Emir of Ilorin, Dr Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari, who is the chairman of the Kwara State Council of Chiefs.
