The former Nigerian President, Dr Goodluck Jonathan, has called on all Muslim faithfuls to embrace peace, unity and prayers beyond the Eid-el-Kabir celebration in Nigeria, as the country is currently facing various challenges.
According to him, “Today, our nation is going through challenges that demand our collective prayers and actions, especially for peace and security. We must see our diversity as a source of strength, not division.”
Dr Goodluck Jonathan went further to explain that true nation-building requires the same spirit of devotion and duty that this festival stands for.
“As we celebrate, let us stand together with renewed resolve to safeguard our country and guarantee a secure, stable, and prosperous future for all Nigerians.” He said.
He also extends his warmest greetings to our Muslim brothers and sisters across Nigeria and the world. This celebration calls us to reflect on the great lessons of faith, obedience, and sacrifice. It reminds us that even in difficult times, absolute trust in God and willingness to put the greater good above ourselves will always lead to a path of blessing and hope.
