Adamawa Governor Mourns Ahmed Joda

Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri of Adamawa State has described as shocking, the passage of elder statesman, technocrat and  Federal Permanent Secretary Ahmed Joda  who died in Yola on Friday, August 13.

Governor Fintiri described the late Permanent Secretary as an epitome of discipline and integrity.

“I received the news of the death of your late father, husband and grandfather with shock and sadness. This came at a time his wealth of experience and wisdom were most needed. I am, however, consoled that he lived an exemplary life and left a legacy of selfless service to the community “ Governor Fintiri said.

He noted that Joda loved his people and the country, adding that the administrator, Journalist and Politician would be sorely missed having contributed immensely to the development of Nigeria, Adamawa and his immediate community.

“On behalf of myself, my family, government and People of Adamawa, I convey my sincere condolences to the family on the passing of Alhaji Ahmed Joda. As you mourn, I join you in giving thanks to Almighty Allah for the exemplary and accomplished life your late father lived,”said Governor Fintiri

He noted that the death of Ahmed Joda at this time, would surely rob the State of the great contributions and wisdom of the very humane elderstatesman, who carried the interest of Adamawa State above all other considerations till he breathed his last.

The Adamawa State Governor prayed for the repose of the soul of the deceased and for the Almighty God to grant the family he left behind, as well as his friends and associates and indeed the entire State, the fortitude to bear the loss.

Governor Fintiri described the late elder statesman as one who displayed genuine love to all and sundry.
