Anambra State Governor Chukwuma Soludo has expressed support for President Bola Tinubu’s administration and called on the South-East to pursue political engagement and strategic partnerships to advance the region’s interests.
Governor Soludo, leader of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), spoke at a pro-Tinubu endorsement rally in Abakaliki, Ebonyi State, where he joined Governor Francis Nwifuru and other political leaders in a show of support for the President.
Addressing a large crowd at the event, Governor Soludo said his attendance reflected growing cooperation among progressive political forces across the country.
“I am here in solidarity because progressives are working together. It is time for progressives to unite,” he said.

The governor said leaders committed to development should work together irrespective of political party affiliations. He added that APGA would soon convene to articulate its position as part of efforts to strengthen a broader progressive coalition in support of ongoing reforms by the Tinubu administration.

While acknowledging the country’s economic and social challenges, Soludo expressed confidence in the federal government’s efforts to address them and called for sustained support for policies aimed at national development.

In a message directed at the South-East, Soludo urged the region to move beyond what he called the “politics of lamentations” and embrace a more pragmatic approach to national politics.
“We must now move from the alliance of protest to the alliance for progress, an alliance and partnership for prosperity for Ndi Igbo,” he said. “We must unite and not waste our votes.”
The rally drew thousands of supporters and highlighted increasing political engagement between leaders in the South-East and the Tinubu administration ahead of the 2027 general elections.
