NYSC Coordinator urges Corps members to promote unity

The National Youth Service Corps in Ebonyi State Southeast Nigeria has urged  Corps members to preach against disunity and to promote unity in their areas of primary assignment as they go into the field for their service year.

The NYSC Coordinator in the State, Mrs. Mercy Bamai Dawuda stated this during the closing ceremony of the 2021 Batch ‘B’ Stream 1 Orientation Course at the  NYSC Permanent Orientation Camp Old MacGregor College Affikpo North Local Government Area of Ebonyi State.

Mrs. Bamai noted that Nigeria is facing challenges and the only way to come out of it is to show the spirit of oneness.

“It’s a known fact that our great nation is facing some challenges presently but I want to assure you today that by the grace of God, we will come out of it. To do this, we need to be committed to good characters, hard work, honesty, excellence, courage and self-discipline”. Bamai added.

She said that with perseverance, Nigeria will regain its pride.

“You can make Nigeria a world Centre of Excellence by loving one another, she said.

Consequently, the Coordinator thanked the Governor of the State Engr David Umahi for his innumerable supports to the scheme.

Moreso, she appreciated all the security agencies in the State for their wonderful contributions to the success of the ceremony.
