The Kwara State Governor, North Central Nigeria, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq has approved a minor cabinet shake up involving all Special Advisers, Advisers, Senior Special Assistants, and Special Assistants.
The decision, which is meant to extend opportunities to more party members and inject fresh energy into the administration, also affected the Deputy Chief of Staff; and the Principal Private Secretary to the Governor.
“His Excellency expresses his gratitude to all the appointees for their priceless service to the state. He wishes them the best in their future endeavours,” according to a statement issued by the Deputy Chief Press Secretary, Mashood Agboolan on Monday.
The Governor directed the affected appointees to hand over all government’s properties in their custody to the Office of the Secretary to the State Government.
As at the time of filing in this report, the list of the affected political office holders and the new appointees in the cabinet reshuffle is yet to be released as there is anxiety about who would be dropped and who would be retained in the fresh list.
