Guinness World Records has confirmed that a concert organised by Dapper Live & Artists in Lagos now holds the record for the largest orchestra assembled for an Afrobeats performance.
The record was announced on X with a video clip from the show, which featured Fuji legends King Saheed Osupa and KS1 Malaika alongside several Afrobeats acts.
According to the post, “Largest orchestra for an Afrobeats concert – 85 musicians by Dapper Live & Artists @DapperMusicEnt_. This attempt took place at the Balmoral Convention Centre in Lagos, Nigeria, in December 2025 and was staged as a live orchestral performance based on an Afrobeats composition.
“Led by a conductor, the concert featured a lead singer, an accompanying choir, dancers, and 85 musicians performing in coordination. The event showcased how Afrobeats and orchestral music can seamlessly blend.”
The concert, tagged ‘Trench Symphony: The Dapper Live Experience’, was held on December 16, 2025.
Other performers included T.I Blaze, Rybeena, Bhadboi OML, Kashcoming, TML Vibez, Lasmid, Heis Cazulee, and Dwillsharmony.
