The Renewed Hope Ambassadors and members of the Presidential Communications Team on Wednesday, inspected major Federal and  State Government projects in Imo state, as the National Media Tour continues across the South-East, showcasing infrastructure projects under the Renewed Hope Agenda.

Speaking during the inspection, Imo State Commissioner for Information, Public Orientation and Strategy, Mr Declan Emelumba, said the projects reflected the partnership between the Federal Government and the Imo State Government.

Emelumba also highlighted that several of the projects were financed by the Imo State Government through the expanded fiscal space available to states following the economic reforms of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration.

According to him, the upgrade of Alvan Ikoku College of Education to a Federal University of Education has generated employment opportunities and attracted TETFund projects, describing it as a long-standing aspiration realised under Governor Hope Uzodimma’s administration.

He added that the projects reflected the shared development vision of President Tinubu and Governor Uzodimma, with both administrations working together to improve transportation, healthcare, education and the quality of life of Nigerians.

The Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Special Duties, Mr Tunde Rahman, said the execution of projects in Imo State, including the university upgrade and improvements to the federal teaching hospital, demonstrated the benefits of alignment between the Federal Government and state governments.
