Renowned businessman and philanthropist, Arthur Eze, has urged the Labour Party (LP) candidate for Anambra Central Senatorial District, Ven. Tochukwu Sagacious Ikezue, to remain focused, peaceful and committed to serving the people ahead of the 2027 general election.
Eze gave the advice when Ikezue and members of his Senatorial Campaign Council paid him a courtesy visit at his Abuja residence as part of consultations with key stakeholders.
The delegation said the visit was aimed at presenting the candidate’s vision, seeking guidance from respected leaders and building support for his senatorial ambition.
Speaking during the meeting, Ikezue described his bid for the Senate as a divine assignment to provide purposeful representation for the people of Anambra Central.
“God raises men for specific assignments at specific times. We believe God has assigned a Rescue Mission to Anambra Central,” he said.
He said the district needs effective representation to attract federal infrastructure, create jobs for young people, protect the interests of constituents and ensure communities benefit from democratic governance.
The campaign council also unveiled a five-point Rescue Agenda focused on quality legislation and effective representation, youth and women empowerment, infrastructure development, improved security and community development, as well as servant leadership.
In his response, Arthur Eze commended the campaign team’s consultative approach and encouraged them to remain peaceful, stay focused on their vision and always put the interests of the people above personal ambition.
He also offered prayers for wisdom and guidance for the candidate and his team, while praying for lasting peace, unity and progress in Anambra State, the South-East and Nigeria.
The campaign council thanked Eze for his counsel and support, describing the visit as part of wider stakeholder engagements to build consensus and mobilise support ahead of the 2027 general election.
