The Chairman of Nigeria’s ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in Anambra State, Senator Emma Anosike, has begun moves to reconcile aggrieved members and heal internal divisions within the party ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Anosike, who spoke during a meeting with party members in Umueri, Anambra East Local Government Area, said restoring unity and strengthening cohesion within the state chapter would be a major focus of his leadership.
He stressed that a united APC would be better positioned to achieve its political objectives in Anambra State and contribute to the party’s success in the 2027 elections.

The reconciliation effort comes after the resolution of a leadership dispute within the Anambra APC by a committee of the party’s National Working Committee (NWC), led by Dr. Ben Nwoye.
The committee recently brought together the opposing factions and reaffirmed Anosike as the authentic chairman of the party in the state.
Extending an olive branch to members who may have felt aggrieved, Anosike acknowledged that some internal party processes had generated dissatisfaction among stakeholders but pledged to run an inclusive administration anchored on consultation, fairness and collective responsibility.
“People should not see peace as defeat. Peace is what we need to move the party forward,” he noted.
The APC chairman noted that disagreements were normal in political organisations but cautioned that internal differences should not be allowed to weaken the party or distract members from its broader goals.
“Our first campaign must therefore be reconciliation. Our first victory must be victory over bitterness,” Anosike said.
He called on party leaders, stakeholders and grassroots members to work together in building a stronger and more united APC in Anambra State, adding that sustained dialogue remained key to resolving outstanding issues.
Anosike pledged to continue consultations with party members across the wards, local government areas, senatorial districts and the state to promote inclusiveness, internal democracy and greater participation in party affairs.
He urged members to place the collective interest of the APC above personal grievances and remain committed to the party’s programmes and objectives.
The party chairman expressed confidence that unity, discipline and cooperation among members would strengthen the APC’s structure in Anambra State and improve its prospects in future elections.
